Adjustable back length systems on older rucksacks are notorious for being over engineered, bulky and heavy. However Vaude have developed a great system here which adjusts the shoulder harness AND the sprung back length. This allows a very wide range of adjustment for comfort and here in the office we very much approve as we are both ends of the XS and XL sizing scale.
